Hello, In order for DP to DVI/HDMI adapter to work, it must be an active adapter. I have checked the description of your adapter and it is not really clear if the adapter is passive or active. But HP does also mentions that its intended use is with HP products, so it may be possible that it may not work with non-HP products. Best Regards i-tec Team

Grüezi, I recommend that you contact the manufacturer iTec DIRECTLY with your very specific Mac question. There are selection criteria on their website (e.g. "Mac compatible"). As far as I know, the model you mentioned is not an explicit Mac docking station (e.g. for Thunderbolt 3). We therefore use your requested model ONLY for Windows laptops. However, we have the model "i-tec Thunderbolt 3 Dual 4K Dock" from the same manufacturer, also from Digitec. The clearly higher price is worth it. Works great in every respect and without restrictions regarding Mac functionalities.

I have been using this thing for quite some time. My UHD monitor is recognised with full resolution. When I undock and dock again, however, I always have to reactivate the monitor via the Intel graphics controller. This is sometimes annoying, but I can live with it. It also depends on whether the original graphics driver is installed or an adapted OEM driver (PC-specific). I wouldn't run the thing without a power supply. Alternatively, a USB-C splitter will do the trick. Resolution according to data sheet: - 1 screen - 1x display port or HDMI → up to 4 K/30 Hz - 1 screen - 1x VGA → up to 1080 p/60 Hz - 2 screens - 1x (DP, HDMI, VGA) + 1x (DP, HDMI, VGA) → up to 2x 1080 p/60 Hz 1.2 - 3 screens - 1x Display Port + 1x HDMI + 1x VGA → up to 3x 1080 p/30 Hz 1.2 - 3 screens - 1x Display Port + 1x HDMI + 1x VGA → up to 1x 1080 p/60 Hz + 2x 720 p/60 Hz 1.2

You do not need a driver. First plug in ONLY the HDMI cable and see if it works. You often have to set the monitor to receive the signal via the HDMI input, for example. - Then unplug the HDMI and test ONLY the DP cable. - Otherwise, Google e.g. "Second screen is not recognised - this is how to solve the problem" - Good luck. Phew, not sure. Mine has been in warranty at Digitec for 1 week now. The 2nd monitor only went with 1x Hdmi and 1x VGA, so I'm not sure if 3 monitors go. I would spend a few francs more and buy one from Dell or HP.

Hello, Unfortunately, your laptop is not compatible with the docking station. The USB-C of your laptop must support the so-called USB-C DisplayPort alternative mode for the docking station to work. However, your laptop does not support this mode. We have other docking stations based on a different technology that would work with your laptop: https://www.digitec.ch/de/s1/product/i-tec-usb-30-usb-c-dual-4k-dock-hdmi-displayport-usb-type-a-docking-stations-8991550 https://www.digitec.ch/de/s1/product/i-tec-usb-30-dual-full-hd-dock-hdmi-dvi-i-usb-type-a-usb-type-b- docking-stations-9025644 If you have further questions, you can ask them here or send them directly to our technical support: support@itecproduct.com Kind regards i-tec team --------------------------------------- Hello, Unfortunately, your laptop is not compatible with the docking station. Hello, Yes, your laptop is compatible with the docking station. Please note that you need to connect the docking station to the Thunderbolt3 port on the back of the laptop for it to work. The USB-C port on the left side of the 15 R3 does not support an important function (so-called USB-C DP alternative mode) and the docking station will not work there.
