Good day, I am probably facing the same problem as many of the questioners, but I have not yet found a suitable solution from the answers, which is why I am very happy to turn to you. The setup has worked so far: First screen was attached to the HDMI port of the docking station, with an HDMI cable on the HDMI screen input, this works wonderfully. LAPTOP (closed) works with 2 screens (was tested on another docking station, not from this manufacturer). Problem: Connection of a second screen via DP interface on the docking station with a DVI interface on the screen. Elements used: Bildschirm: https://www.digitec.ch/en/s1/product/asus-vg236he-23-tft-wide-169-hdmi-schwarz-1920-x-1080-pixels-monitors-252464 Cable: DVI-D SL cable from screen to adapter Adapter: https://www.digitec.ch/de/s1/product/hp-dp-zu-dvi-19cm-data-video-adapter-221402?supplier=406802 LAPTOP: ThinkPad from Lenovo Version P1 Troubleshooting: Swapped DVI cable between screens to check screen connections --> no success. Replaced DVI cable with another one to eliminate the cable effect. --> no success. Performed screen recognition under display settings. --> no success. Closed the LAPTOP screen and started the screen recognition again. --> no success. My guess: That it is a wrong adapter, but I am not quite sure. My question to you: Can you give me a suggestion on how to get my 2nd screen to work and what the problem is with my current setup? Thanks for your support

Hello,

In order for DP to DVI/HDMI adapter to work, it must be an active adapter.

I have checked the description of your adapter and it is not really clear if the adapter is passive or active.
But HP does also mentions that its intended use is with HP products, so it may be possible that it may not work with non-HP products.

Hello Wyst198, don't forget to select the selected connection on the monitor (if possible). Greetings schweppes

Hi Wyst1987, why don't you connect both monitors directly to the docking station with HDMI and DP port. It works like this for me. Alternatively, I use monitor 1 with HDMI on the dock and monitor 2 also with HDMI connected directly to the notebook.
