Question about i-tec Triple Dock

Hello Community. I received this docking station today.... and my screen is not recognised via the HDMI port. The exact name of the USB-C port (it's an Asus Tuf Gaming A17 FA706II-H7097T) is (according to the manual): "USB 3.2 (Gen2) Type-C/DisplayPort combo port". It goes on to say: "... offers data transfer rates of up to 10 Gbit/s and is backwards compatible with USB 2.0. Connect an external display to your notebook PC via a USB Type-C adapter". Does this mean that this USB-C port cannot transfer video data? I find this very confusing and hard for a layman to understand! Thank you very much for your help.
