RØDE RØDELink Filmmaker Kit
If it's not the batteries (maybe put new ones in to be on the safe side), I could also imagine that they are not communicating on the same channel. Check the frequency to see if it matches. They could be connected on different channels/frequencies.
unfortunately, the a6000 doesn't have the right connection for the set. i think even if there was an adapter, there would be problems with the audio level. so for good sound quality, i would recommend an external recording device. there are lots of great products from the zoom company. for under 100.- i think it's a great solution. http://www.houseofsound.ch/zoom-h1-deal.html?origin=product-ads&gclid=COb4sZ7ZrMwCFQuNGwodixoGMw
Hello Exactly, simply connect the RX to a loudspeaker via a jack plug, done. I tested it and it works.
This does sound like a technical problem. What does Digitec's support team think? Is it possible that the plug has a loose contact and is not making proper contact in the socket? Maybe it will help, otherwise go straight to support.
My transmitter and receiver lose connection to each other shortly after switching on. What can I do?
Have you ever re-paired the devices ? https://de.rode.com/wireless/filmmaker Quite far down: How do I pair my RØDELink transmitter and receiver?
To my knowledge the Rode Filmmaker Kit only connects to phones via the TRS to TRRS adapter. The only one that connects to computers via the SC7 cable with an AUX to USB cable is the Rode Wireless Go. Kind regards.
Why? A camera normally only has TRS. For a telephone, TRRS is needed. For this, there is the SC4 adapter or the SC7 cable.
I am still very satisfied with the kit. Even with the mic that comes with it. Good sound quality. Very easy to use. However, there is now a cheaper set from Rode for smaller cameras. But I don't know the quality there.
I lost exactly the same part. I was able to reorder it from lite&bite ag in Zurich.
If the camera has a connection for an external microphone, then yes. That is the case with the Z6. I don't know the other cameras. With the exception of the Canon 600d, I would bet that they also have a connection... Have a look at the manufacturers...
Yes, the pairing and channel change is explained stupidly in the manual. You won't find much helpful information on the WWW either. However, there is a video on YouTube that shows quite well how it works. I'll try to explain it this way. Let's see if it works. Switch on both modules. Press the red link button once on the RX module, then the channel number starts flashing. Now you can select the channel with the CH button. The selected channel number flashes. Now press the red Link button once on the TX module and a P appears briefly in the display and the TX module now tries to connect to the RX module. If the connection is successful, the channel number appears in the TX module and the channel number stops flashing in the RX module. In addition, the battery indicator of both modules can now be seen on the RX module. The connection is now established. Have fun with the radio link now. I am still very satisfied with my purchase.
Yes, it should work as long as your Nikon D800 has a working microphone port. But I would recommend using an external recorder for the microphone! Because the internal microphone input on the cameras is usually not that good compared to the external recorder. We use this microphone with the Zoom H4n Pro . It works very well.
Yes, I also have an Eos R and it works without any problems.
For sound recording, the camera only needs an external microphone input. With system cameras, this is usually a 3.5mm cinch plug. For other connections, such as iPhones with a Lightning connector, you need a Vince Cinch to Lightning adapter. The Rode Filmmaker Set works with all of them, as it also has its own power supply.
No, it does not work with Bluetooth. The sound is transmitted from the transmitter (TX) to the receiver (RX) via radio. This has a connection for a 3.5 mm jack plug. This is connected to the smartphone. Attention: in order for the sound to reach the smartphone, a plug with 3 rings is required or an additional "TRS to TRRS adapter".
If it is possible, we will gladly make an effort. However, we do not yet have any information on this. We ask for your patience :)
oh soo... then you can try this adapter. RØDE SC3 TRRS to TRS adapter
You only need the Lightning to 3.5 mm Headphone Jack Adapter that comes with your iPhone: https://brain-images-ssl.cdn.dixons.com/5/6/10153065/u_10153065.jpg
Unfortunately, no PCM signal can be transmitted.
It is possible that the Rode SC4 3.5mm TRS to TRRS Adaptor will work better.
No, a cable is required for the microphone to the transmitter and from the receiver to your recording device.
