For sound recording, the camera only needs an external microphone input. With system cameras, this is usually a 3.5mm cinch plug. For other connections, such as iPhones with a Lightning connector, you need a Vince Cinch to Lightning adapter. The Rode Filmmaker Set works with all of them, as it also has its own power supply.
