RØDE RØDELink Filmmaker Kit
I can't get audio on my Nikon D7500. If I connect the supplied microphone directly to the camera, it works. The level on the receiver shows that it is receiving sound from the transmitter. However, nothing lands on the camera. Even if I connect the receiver to the mobile phone or plug headphones directly into the receiver output, everything remains quiet - maybe I need an adapter for the mobile phone. But not for the camera, right?
Well, everything works perfectly on my D750. The receiver is plugged into the microphone input of the camera. This definitely doesn't need an adapter or anything like that, I've been able to work several times without any problem, and with headphones at the camera's output you can also listen directly to what's coming in via the mic. Maybe it's a question of the audio level on the camera or mic? Basically, you should set the level of the camera as low as possible and the level of the microphone as high as possible, because the preamps of the cameras are usually not that good and you get a poorer quality. If the mic is not amplified and the camera's preamp is too low, you might not hear anything on the video, even though the mic itself is still recording well?
By the way: Both work on the same channel. Firmware update done. Re-paired several times.
