I use the switch mainly for external drives with their own power connection. The Xbox remains switched off. I have not noticed any problems so far.

No, that's wrong. this is intended to connect several devices to one monitor. The right one would be https://www.galaxus.ch/de/s1/product/delock-2-port-hdmi-switchverteiler-switch-box-9210804. It's all in the description.

In your case, the unit that is switched on second has priority. However, you can switch your input manually with the help of a small button (Select). The selector is located at the top between the labels 1 and 2 (can be seen in the enlarged product picture).

Do you need the opposite? So a switch that distributes one device to two screens? Because I don't quite understand why you need a socket on the output side if it is connected to a display device anyway. Otherwise, you simply need an HDMI splitter/switch and 3 additional cables. For example the following products (more filters on the left): https://www.digitec.ch/de/s1/producttype/switch-box-92?opt=v1117-14107:2|v1117-14111:1&p=578:196666|577:196648&tagIds=77-530 Or maybe you only need one LINK2GO Gender Changer HDMI to (HDMI, 3cm) and two HDMI cables?
