Question about Link2Go HDMI switch cable
I have a gaming notebook with only one HDMI port, and my question is whether this gives me two inputs and I can connect it to 2 monitors (except for the monitor from the notebook itself).

This is definitely not possible. An HDMI switch switches one or the other source (e.g. PC or DVD) through to the (one) monitor. So you can either work on the PC or watch a DVD with the same monitor and thus save a second monitor. What you need is an HDMI splitter: Lindy HDMI Splitter Compact 2 Port
It's a bit late, but I don't think it works. This is for connecting two sources to one monitor.
