I use this cable with an IPad Pro 2020 and a Macbook 13" 2018 to a Samsung TV vintage 2016. So far I could not find any problems. Works without any problems.

Yes, this is possible if your mobile has a USB-C port with DisplayPort Alt Mode or Thunderbolt support. The cable connects your USB-C port to an HDMI TV and transmits the image up to a resolution of 4K/60 Hz. Compatibility depends on whether your mobile supports this function - many modern Android devices and iPads do. No driver installation is required as the cable is plug & play.

Is this cable HDCP compatible?

Helpful answer
In principle, yes. More important than the choice of cable would therefore be to know how it is to be connected. HDCP "compatibility" can only be assessed for an entire system, from the source of the signal to the display device. For it to work, the USB-C port used for it must offer "Display Port Alternate Mode" or "HDMI Alternate Mode", which may be missing on older and low-end laptops, for example. Simply put, the cable is (almost) never to blame if there is a problem with playback protection. The cable does not have the technical ability to influence HDCP. Specifically: If a (passive) HDMI cable is damaged or unsuitable, it will affect the signal transmission regardless of whether the signal is protected with HDCP or not.

The cable works wonderfully for me with a Lenovo notebook with a resolution of 1920x1200. I couldn't find out quickly whether it works on the 'Lenovo Legion Go'. But: HDMI via USB-C always works _only_ if the device is prepared for it. The manufacturer always mentions this in the description!

This will not work. You need USB-C docking for this. Charging via an HDMI cable will unfortunately not be possible. You will therefore need a USB-C equipped display capable of charging or a USB-C docking station found in this product category: https://www.digitec.ch/fr/s1/producttype/station-daccueil-hub-usb-303

Same problem - also with the docking station (Surface), but still with HDMI->DVI adapter.... Strange, it works with the normal "USB-C - HDMI cable" from Microsoft.

With the microsoft surface go it works like a charm. Tablet computers are not that different from classic tablets. It is strange that it does not work for you. Maybe try from the settings, maybe you need to approve the connection

I don't think so, because here's what the specsheet on the i-tec website says: "OS: Windows 10, macOS X, Android, Chrome OS Google with latest updates".

Hello, No, this is not possible. The cable only works if you connect USB-C to a laptop (or any USB-C enabled device that meets the requirements) and to the HDMI interface for the monitor/projector etc. Best regards i-tec team -------------------------------------- Hello, No, this is not possible.
