Yes.
The Woods SMF filter fits all Woods units that have an F in the model number, so it will also fit the SW38FW. Explanation from Woods : "Wood's unique anti-mold filter, the SMF filter, comes with all Wood's dehumidifiers that have an F in the model number, as well as our new LD series of dehumidifiers."
Yes, you can connect the appliance to a timer so that it switches on between 3 and 6 a.m., for example, as soon as it has power. The dehumidifier then automatically measures the humidity and switches itself on or off depending on whether dehumidification is required or not. The appliance has a target humidity setting where it switches off when the set humidity is reached and switches on again when the humidity rises.
Yes, that's why I bought the appliance. I am very satisfied. In particular, the control via the timer (in my case the house control) works perfectly. And the routing performance is of course also good.
On earlier models you could adjust humidity exactly, but this has pre-set positions. The knob cannot be set between the pre-set positions, so the answer to your question is no.
We are basically quite satisfied with the product, the performance is definitely top.
One point that we have noticed for a long time - depending on the temperature (and probably also the required power, as it tends to be in the winter months), the rotor slightly touches parts of the radiator. The appliance is currently in the laundry room. Stupid - can/should it be sent in under warranty?
In addition, the left front unfortunately does not close flush with the lid -- felt 3 mm difference, the front is "slanted". Should be better for this price, not'
To operate the Wood's SW-38FM dehumidifier with a condensation hose, you need the following:
- A commercially available hose with an internal diameter of approximately 12.5 mm.
- The hose can be connected directly to the drain connection of the drip tray of the dehumidifier by using a hose clamp.
No optional connection or additional accessories are required, apart from the hose itself. However, make sure that the hose is not higher than the outlet pipe and is not kinked to prevent flooding and damage to the appliance.
Hello, Wood's deliberately does not publish any specific figures. The reason for this:
high-quality, high-precision sensors from the Swiss manufacturer "Sensirion" (a spin-off from ETH Zurich) are installed in the Swedish Wood`s dehumidifiers. These sensors are significantly more precise than any commercially available hygrometer.
The following problem:
- Swedish dehumidifier is set to 50% and is on standby because the target humidity has been reached
- External commercial hygrometer shows 60%
- The person wonders why the dehumidifier is not running even though the room humidity is 60%.
- Person sends the appliance back to the supplier and complains about the defective hygrostat in the appliance
Solution to the problem:
- Hygrostat sensor in the appliance works perfectly - the effective humidity was below 50%
- The external hygrometer was a cheap device with a deviation of over 10%.
- The appliance was returned to the customer with the information: Everything is OK.
There have been many such cases in the past. For this reason, Wood's does not provide a specific declaration of the individual levels. As a guideline: At 12 o'clock there is approx. 50% residual moisture in the room. The more to the right, the drier the room - the more to the left, the more residual moisture in the room.
Kind regards
