Hello, I bought a SW38 from Woods, how do I find out which target humidity is set at which position? The switch only says Min and Max Dry and there is nothing in the manual.
Hello, Wood's deliberately does not publish any specific figures. The reason for this:
high-quality, high-precision sensors from the Swiss manufacturer "Sensirion" (a spin-off from ETH Zurich) are installed in the Swedish Wood`s dehumidifiers. These sensors are significantly more precise than any commercially available hygrometer.
The following problem:
- Swedish dehumidifier is set to 50% and is on standby because the target humidity has been reached
- External commercial hygrometer shows 60%
- The person wonders why the dehumidifier is not running even though the room humidity is 60%.
- Person sends the appliance back to the supplier and complains about the defective hygrostat in the appliance
Solution to the problem:
- Hygrostat sensor in the appliance works perfectly - the effective humidity was below 50%
- The external hygrometer was a cheap device with a deviation of over 10%.
- The appliance was returned to the customer with the information: Everything is OK.
There have been many such cases in the past. For this reason, Wood's does not provide a specific declaration of the individual levels. As a guideline: At 12 o'clock there is approx. 50% residual moisture in the room. The more to the right, the drier the room - the more to the left, the more residual moisture in the room.
Kind regards
Manuel Rupp
With each level that you turn the hygrostat back to the left, you increase the residual humidity in the room in 12.5% increments. Target humidity level 1: 12.5%, level 2: 25%, level 3: 37.5%, level 4: 50%, level 5: 62.5 etc.

There must be something somewhere about which level means which target humidity. I don't want to test every level!
Take a hygrometer and gradually select the position that corresponds to the desired humidity.
