In my opinion, the A7iv is more than sophisticated enough to start with (do a feature comparison to see if there's a function that's important to you that's not on the A7iv). I'd take an A7 series camera sooner... to keep full-frame lens compatibility for the day you decide to change bodies. To start with I'd take a standard zoom lens, like the 24-105, the 20-70, or the 24-70 GM 2.8 if you want to go straight to the top of the range. After that, the 70-200 and 12-24 complement the starting zoom very well.
