I've enjoyed taking photos since I was a child. I currently use the Samsung Galaxy Ultra 23 and have taken some good pictures with it. I particularly like taking pictures of cities, landscapes and family/friends. Now I would like to delve deeper into the world of photography. Would Sony Alpha 7RV with the lens "Sony FE 70-200mm F4 Macro G OSS II" or "Sony FE 12-24mm f/2.8 GM" be a good choice to start with? Or should I start with a cheaper alternative?
In my opinion, the A7iv is more than sophisticated enough to start with (do a feature comparison to see if there's a function that's important to you that's not on the A7iv).
I'd take an A7 series camera sooner... to keep full-frame lens compatibility for the day you decide to change bodies.
To start with I'd take a standard zoom lens, like the 24-105, the 20-70, or the 24-70 GM 2.8 if you want to go straight to the top of the range. After that, the 70-200 and 12-24 complement the starting zoom very well.
The a7 r v is a very high-end lens with a thousand functions. I wouldn't recommend it for beginners, but rather a less expensive camera. As for lenses, if you want to shoot cityscapes, portraits or landscapes, a 24-70 will be more appropriate. A 70-200 zoom will be more complicated to use in terms of composition, especially at the beginning. I would therefore recommend a less expensive camera with a 24-70 focal length and investing in photography workshops/courses. There's a lot to understand before using such a complex camera, so the best investment I'd recommend is a photography course. You'll become a "better" photographer much more quickly and you'll certainly refine your eye for what you like.
Supplement. Of course I meant the A 7 lll!
I recommend the A7 III, which is comparable to the A7 IV in terms of handling. It is less noisy, requires a less powerful infrastructure for processing and storing the images and the image quality is excellent.
If you don't want to enlarge the images to wallpaper a house wall or if you don't want to crop extensively, the resolution of the A7 IV is more than sufficient.
My recommendation: A6100, Tamron 18-300. Small, compact and very capable camera, versatile lens at a fair price. Use it to learn the basics and then decide where the journey takes you next. The RV and GM lenses are overkill for a beginner.
Hi AK.94. It's a professional camera! It depends on your budget and your interests. The camera is awesome, the pixel count is great for cropping! I would have recommended you the 70-200mm 2.8, if you buy this camera, better a better lens than a better camera! if you go in this class, then always the best lenses, then you get the maximum from the camera! It is not possible to compare with mobile photos...they do not play in the same category...like car and aeroplane....not comparable!
Completely exaggerated for beginners. 61 MP RAW files also require a correspondingly powerful PC for post-processing. A 70-200 and a 12-24 are two completely different lenses. I would recommend reading up on the basics first.
