No, because the charging station also serves as a radio station (where, by the way, there is a 3.5mm connection). The headphones cannot be operated without it (max. range 5m). This is not an independent system as with Bluetooth headsets. Enclosed are the instructions: http://de-de.sennheiser.com/global-downloads/file/4696/RS175_Manual_03_2016_DE.pdf
Yes, the headphone station has an optical jack. Now, if the sound can be played at the same time on the TV and in the headphones it is an option of your TV. In my case, Samsung TV, this is not possible.
Good evening What does compatible mean in this case? I have the 175 and the 195, in comparison the 195 is more neutral in sound and has several programmes plus separate left/right volume setting, but compatible? Please formulate your question in a differentiated way. Greetings GA
Virtual 5.1 you simply have more of an impression of space.
These are headphones and not a headset, so you cannot make Skype or similar voice chats or calls. Voice chats or calls!
Hy Sandra. In general, yes. However, the TV must have either a headphone output or an optical connection. You can then set the headphone transmitter to transmit digitally (optical cable) or analogue (headphone socket). The headphones are really top and can be recommended without exception;-)
Unfortunately no. Sennheiser SR/HDR are only even to even and odd to odd compatible, so a 165 is compatible with 175 and 185, but not with 160, 170 or 180 (the last one is not available in Europe). The HDR would be the compatible single headphones, unfortunately the 170 is no longer available at digitec. Sennheiser HDR 170 single headphones Maybe it's worth a Google search to find one...
I also bought the headphones for my parents for the same reason. However, it doesn't depend on the headphones, but on the connection to the TV. Often the cinch sockets on the TV are designed in such a way that the audio system of the TV is interrupted as soon as you plug them in. If the TV or TV box has an optical link, this could work (see also http://www.digitec.ch/de/QuestionAndAnswer/144365).
I have owned these headphones for a few weeks now and am completely satisfied with them. The bass (boosted or not) can be heard perfectly on both headphone cups. Note: The stereo sound reproduces the sounds of the individual instruments spatially. If the bass is more to the right of the orchestra/band during recording, the sound is also mainly reproduced to the right. Check your headphones on the basis of different music genres via the tuner, amplifier, via the CD player or record player and determine whether the bass is really always reproduced mainly on the right. For comparison, also try a pair of mobile phone headphones. If the mobile phone headphones also produce bass mainly on the right, there is something wrong with your amplifier or tuner. If there are no problems with the mobile phone headphones, something is wrong with the Sennheisser headphone system.
I have two headphones and two radio stations. Only one radio station is connected to the television. If I need both headphones, I plug both headphones one after the other into the connected station and then I can receive the sound on both headphones. Works perfectly!
I connected the cable to the amplifier, I think in your case you have to try where the sound switches automatically.
Yes, it works. The sound quality is perfectly acceptable but not outstanding. If it can be with cable, I prefer the sound of the Shure SE 215.
You can only listen to the sound where the connection (jack or digital optical) is also connected. If a device (e.g. TV) is connected to Sonos and at the same time to the headphones, you can hear the sound from both devices if the device (e.g. TV) allows it.
