They are a) much smaller than the competition ( https://imgur.com/a/mzSjOw5 ) and b) a 1st party product and therefore 100% feature complete / compatible. For example, I cannot control my Trådfri sockets in Apple Home Kit because they are not visible there.dfri Bridge or at least temporarily to be able to install a FW update on the sockets which would then enable this functionality without the Trådfri Bridge (but with the HUE Bridge). You have to decide for yourself whether this price is worth it - but they are not less smart than the IKEA solution.

You mean the wall sockets arranged in a star shape. Yes, the switch slightly covers the other two sockets. If it is a newer wall socket with recessed plugs, then in a few cases it may be possible to plug in a device in the other two slots, but this depends on the device; 2-pin EU plugs with a thin cable and slim plug may fit. Unfortunately, three-pin CH plugs with a thick cable do not. I have therefore mounted my HUe switches remotely with an adapter.

Good day, Your assumption is correct :) But whether it is worth it at the price I would consider. A HUE LED strip itself is not much more expensive and usually a lot brighter than most cheaper alternatives (unless you have a 5m strip in use :P). Besides, with a HUE strip you could also control the brightness and heat via Google :) Kind regards Niklas

It is important that the lamp is either simply plugged in directly or that it is always switched on (e.g. with a toggle switch). For example, we also use the plug to switch off our son's night light. However, after reactivating it in the app, it has to be switched on again on the lamp itself.

The Philips Hue devices don't use WiFi as such, but Zigbee. The range of each device is 10-15 m. If the wifi doesn't work, it's possible that the Zigbee network of the Philips Hue devices will work all the way down to the cellar. It all depends on the position of the Hue bridge and the devices between it and the SmartPlug.

No, this is not supported. This Hombli Smart Plug Set can accurately measure the power consumption with each Smart Plug and also show the consumption total per month in the app. The minimum switching time that can be set in the app is 1 minute. Hombli Smart Swiss Socket 2+1

Via Bluetooth, this Smart Plug can be controlled immediately without the Hue Bridge. Connected with the Hue Bridge, additional functions are then possible. Unfortunately, there is nothing on the product's website about whether it can measure power consumption. But these could do that: Hombli Smart Swiss Socket 2+1 They would also be cheaper in a pack of three.
