Can I use the sockets without the Hue app and only with Homekit? If not, are there alternatives. I would also have AppleTV as a smart station. Thanks :)

Yes you can. You just have to set it up once with the Hue app. Then you can export your devices from the Hue app to Apple Homekit and don't need the Hue app anymore :)
