You can operate the Hombli smart socket without a plan. It is controlled via the free Hombli app and there are no monthly subscription costs. Without a subscription, you can use all the functions that are available via the app, such as switching devices on and off, monitoring power consumption and voice control via Google Assistant or Alexa. There are no restrictions in functionality that would be cancelled by a plan.

The product is only suitable for indoor use and not for outdoor sockets, even if these are covered. This is clearly confirmed by the specification "Application area: Indoor".

Hello, it works in 2.4 only. You don't need an extra device to make it work. All you need is an initial connection from your phone via Alexa or Siri and you're ready to go. See also the manufacturer's website. You can also link it with Tuya Smart. Enjoy the rest

I contacted hombli (the manufacturer) a few days ago. The current power consumption can be measured on the Hombli app and used as automation. IF (Hombli Smart Socket Power [SCHWELLWERT]) Then (Message Centre:on) Best regards Daniel

Yes, I have connected the coffee machine and coffee grinder with a double plug (for space reasons). Individual control is then of course not possible, all appliances are ON. Or OFF.

I don't see your quote in the digitec product description. The only Apple related thing I see is "Connect their devices to the smart socket and control it from anywhere via the free Hombli app (Android and iOS)" This device uses Tuya for connectivity (https://www.tuya.com/) and that is not compatible with Apple HomeKit without any 3rd party tools. You can connect it with Siri (https://www.hombli.com/manual), but that's sadly where the Apple compatibility ends... So if you want to connect to Apple HomeKit, you either need to look up how to connect a Tuya device to Apple HomeKit or choose another brand that does not use Tuya. You could look at the brands Eve Energy, Meross and Wemo - Eve Energy and Meross are sold here on digitec as well. Those are compatible with HomeKit
