But actually, you should be able to control everything with the hotkey function, as all good programmes offer hotkeys for the important functions.

Not a recorder! It is a USB controller. Like a keyboard on which you can assign the keys yourself. It's Mac compatible, even though it says PC version on the box🤣.

It's been running absolutely stable for years. It must be your system. Check your drivers, plug cables into other USB, deactivate unnecessary antiviruses, contact the official support/forum.

With complex processes, however, it can take a little more effort to get it right. This is not used for streaming, only for changing scenes and other macros can be set for OBS etc. For the PS4 I would use the 4k capture card (with a corresponding PC if 4k), the HD60s for 1080p and for cams on the PC/MAC the Cam Link 4k from Elgato.
