I have tested it briefly. On a Phillips 16:9 TV, the pixels are stretched widthways, both at 720 and 1080p. The outgoing resolution at 720 ==> 1280x720 and at 1080p ==> 1920x1080. Unfortunately, the picture quality cannot compete with the direct SCART input of the same TV. At the SCART input of the TV, the picture is razor-sharp, while the Delock converter comes along with a slight blur in direct comparison.

When the adapter is connected to the power supply, i.e. switched on, press the "Scart/HD" button once to switch to "Scart". HDMI was obviously activated by default. At least that's how it was with me.

I use this <Scart to HDMI> converter for my old VHS recorder. That means: the recorder is connected to the SCART interface and the front HDMI plug (= output) to the TV. As expected, it works perfectly. The picture of the Scart interface is not only enlarged, but somehow extrapolated to the higher resolution. Here is a short excerpt from the operating instructions: The converter converts an analogue SCART video and audio signal into a digital HDMI signal..... ...There is also an HDMI input so that the converter can be used as a switcher..... ...The audio signal is simultaneously available at the HDMI output as a digital S/PDIF signal and as an analogue stereo signal at the jack socket. So maybe this "jack socket sound" could be routed to a SCART interface. By means of a cable (one side jack plug other side RCA plug and this then into a SCART plug) it could possibly work. Just an idea. No guarantee that it will really work. No Risk - No Fun - No warranty.

No, this is a converter from analogue (SCART) to digital (HDMI). For your purpose, you need the opposite (digital to analogue). Digitec offers this under item number "5630750" or "10172538". Marmitek Connect HA13 (Digital -> Analogue) Or InLine HDMI to Composite and S-Video Converter with Audio However, these do not have SCART but RCA connections (yellow, red, white). With an additional adapter cable, however, this is no problem. Perhaps the Bluray player already has such an analogue output.

Hm... Interesting question. For my part, I use the converter to make a connection between an old Nintendo Wii console and my HDMI screen. This works wonderfully. On the back of the converter (not visible in the photo) there is a SCART input and an HDMI input. So this good thing can be used for a wide range of applications. Try and error... :-)

That won't work with these *Delock Scart to HDMI converters*. But I think this one should work: Marmitek Connect HA13 - HDMI to RCA / SCART Converter (Digital -> Analogue) Marmitek Connect HA13 - HDMI to RCA / SCART Converter (Digital -> Analogue)
