Delock HDMI and SCART to
Video Switch
I'm planning to transfer the signal of an Amiga 1200 to an HD monitor, and wanted to ask if the format is changed. At that time, the screens were 4:3, and if it's scaled up to 720 or 1080p, will the aspect ratio stay the same, or will the pixels be stretched? Then I would have to look around for another solution.
I have tested it briefly. On a Phillips 16:9 TV, the pixels are stretched widthways, both at 720 and 1080p. The outgoing resolution at 720 ==> 1280x720 and at 1080p ==> 1920x1080. Unfortunately, the picture quality cannot compete with the direct SCART input of the same TV. At the SCART input of the TV, the picture is razor-sharp, while the Delock converter comes along with a slight blur in direct comparison.
I have never tried this, I only used old video recorders. But according to the manual, the output should be switchable 720, 1080, PAL, NTSC.
