With my new Zenbook, only certain parts of the screen work. Video does not work. But with my other HP device. You have to make sure that a special sign is marked on the USB port, without this, like on my ASUS, it does not work. It's a pity that Asus devices don't support all other Asus devices.

Hello L.A. I would not buy this docking station because my 2 (new) docks had problems, with my Asus laptop. (I think with the first one the screen was unresponsive, with the second one (replacement by Digitec) no network). Regards Andreas

I am happy to give the following (technically amateurish) answer: I also bought this product together with my Asus Zenbook laptop. However, the dock works for me under the following two conditions: 1) The dock must be connected to the power supply. 2) The dock can only be connected to one of my 3 laptop ports so that the HDMI port works. On my Asus Zenbook, I have 3 ports (1 left, 2 right of the screen - the one at the back right works for me).

I was not at all satisfied with the ASUS Universal Dock and gave it up (after the second unsuccessful exchange). As a replacement, I bought the "Club 3D USB Type C MST Dock with charging function (HDMI, DisplayPort, USB 3.0, LAN/RJ45)" and was and still am satisfied with it (however, it went defective after ~1.5 years.). I got my money back and bought the same model again, which has been running without problems for ~3/4 years).

I'm not sure if this laptop is rechargeable via the USB-C port and it's not specified on the manufacturer's website. If this functionality is not possible on this computer, it would be better to go for a station that does not serve as a power supply and is often cheaper.

I can't answer this question because I used this dock with an Asus notebook that only had a USB-C (3.1) port (no other port) and no HDMI. I no longer use this dock because it only caused problems. After having to replace it twice, I decided to buy another dock (from Club 3D).

Hi Ivo, based on the German answers and looking up the specifications of your model, it should be compatible since you have USB-C 3.1. From the Asus website ideally any Laptop with USB-C 3.1 is compatible with this Docking-Station. On the other hand, I encourage you to look up your laptop model in more detail (UX430 is a bit generic) to verify that you have USB-C 3.1. Hope I was helpful, have a nice day :)

Hi M_Buehlmann, In principle, there's nothing to be said against it. I bought the UX390UAK and the docking station later. Even if Digitec doesn't like to read it: I have had some problems with the docking station. I take my notebook to work and use the supplied adapter and dongle. When I'm at home, I want to use the docking station. A normal scenario. Unfortunately, it turned out that my notebook reacted strangely. Notebook in sleep mode. I come home, connect it to the docking station. There it is not recognised by the USB port of the notebook. When I did get it to work, sometimes all of a sudden the sound was gone. Restarting and a lot of configuring helped. When I then switched back to the small dongle and power adapter, there were, surprise surprise, problems with recognition. After some analysis, the problem turned out to be a driver problem. An Asus driver is loaded twice with a Windows driver. This causes confusion in the system. Unfortunately, it needs the Asus driver to work with the docking station. The docking station now remains in my drawer. Hopefully Asus will deliver better drivers soon, but there has been very little in this direction. Cumbersome reconfiguration and rebooting is simply not acceptable. It simply has to work and is something like Anno 1997 under Windows XP. And that's for the price of the device and the docking station:( Maybe someone else has had better experiences?
