The French language has only been available since June in our neighbouring countries, so not really for a while. It works well here (French-speaking Switzerland) as long as you have an Amazon account with France as country. However, as usual, we will have to be patient for the official availability in Switzerland and especially in French. Because it is not sure that Amazon knows that we speak something other than German! As usual... And of course the French skills are still a bit "rare", but it should come.

To use Alexa, you need an Amazon account. It is advantageous to create a German account, e.g. with your G-mail address via PC. If you set your mobile phone to German (Germany), the installed app is also in German. Search the Internet for Alexa APK or directly for Amazon App. You can also get the latest version of the Alexa app via the Amazon Appstore (Amazon App). However, make sure that the language has been set to Germany beforehand, otherwise the Alexa app will not display it. You can also set up Alexa via your computer. alexa.amazon.de, but your computer language must also be set to Germany, otherwise you will find the page in English.

I don't know MyStrom, but every device to be operated must be accessible via the internet. There is an unofficial skill for MyStrom (https://www.amazon.com/Liip-myStrom-unofficial/dp/B01MUKR2WS), but it might not be any good, and it is only for English-speaking Alexa. IFTTT is supported: https://ifttt.com/amazon_alexa

Unfortunately, Switzerland is a blank spot on the map for Amazon. However, with the tips linked above (create a new Amazon account with a fictitious German address + sideload the Alexa app), most things still work. The following tips: - Alexa app is only in English on your system ? -> simply change the system language in the smartphone from German (Switzerland) to German (Germany), and it will be in German. - Alternatively, you can also use the web interface instead of the app: https://alexa.amazon.de/ - Unfortunately, Amazon Music does not work. You need a German credit card, and even then I'm not sure if there are any country restrictions that limit the use of the app. I use Spotify instead. But you need a German Amazon account as described above. In general, I am thrilled with the possibilities of Alexa and the little round thing is now my main music player in all important rooms. Small please yet: Amazon already has a Swiss telephone hotline. It's best to call everyone there (preferably several times) and let them know that we here in Switzerland would like to use their products and services regularly. Maybe something will happen if only enough people call and bug them ;-))

I have connected my Echo Dot to my PC speakers (Creative GigaWorks T40 Series II) and it works wonderfully. I used the Inakustik STAR MP3 3.5mm stereo jack connection cable. This should also work with your Audioengine A2+.
