The Tascam FR-AV2 is a compact and fully featured audio recorder for sound recording for filmmakers, combining the latest 32-bit float technology with timecode generation and synchronisation. Connect microphones and sources with a professional line level directly to the two Ultra HDDA preamps of the FR-AV2. With an extremely low equivalent input noise of only -127 dBu, you can record audio signals with maximum clarity and virtually noise-free. You also have the option of using wireless microphones, lavalier microphones and any other audio sources you may have in your arsenal via the stereo mini jack input.
With the FR-AV2, you can reduce the amount of camera equipment you need and take less material with you to shoots. The recorder sends and receives timecode via its mini-jack connections for DSLR cameras and also supports Jam Sync for external timecode devices. The DR-60D MKII is a compact 4-track audio recorder designed specifically for use with a DSLR camera as a video system (DSLR/DSLM). It can be mounted directly on the digital SLR camera and offers the possibility to record high resolution audio material in parallel with different audio inputs and outputs, separately from the camera and video data.
The recorder features Tascam HDDA (High Definition Discrete Architecture) microphone preamplifiers, which ensure high signal-to-noise ratio, low inherent noise and low distortion. Recordings can be made at 44.1/48/96 kHz and 16/24 bits in WAV or BWF format. As an alternative to stereo recording, it is possible to record up to four audio tracks at the same time, which can be mixed into a stereo signal.
An individual setting of the recording levels for tracks 1,2 and 3-4 is provided as well as the possibility to create two recording files with different recording levels at the same time (double recording).
High-resolution audio can be routed to a DSLR/DSLM camera to record it as a reference track, and a camera input allows you to conveniently listen to the camera's audio signal.
