Tascam MM-2D-X Dante converter

The Tascam MM-2D-X is a compact Dante converter with XLR connections that connects analog and digital audio systems. This professional audio interface converts two microphone/line inputs into two Dante outputs while simultaneously processing two Dante inputs to two line outputs, supporting both 2×2 and 4×4 Dante channel configurations for flexible network audio integration. The built-in DSP processor offers comprehensive audio processing features including equalization, compression, automatic gain control, ducking, routing, and noise reduction, enabling complete audio system functionality without additional devices. Configuration and control are done via Tascam DCP Connect for system setup and Tascam EZ Connect for end-user operation, both available as free software for Mac, Windows, iOS, and Android. The unit features GPI control for input muting and output level adjustment and operates via Power over Ethernet or with an optional external power supply. With half 19-inch rack dimensions of 214 mm width × 45 mm height × 136 mm depth and a weight of 885 g, two units can be mounted side by side in a standard rack, with power supply possible through daisy-chaining with a single power supply. This XLR version provides professional balanced audio connections for reliable signal transmission in demanding audio environments and is suitable for integration into existing Dante networks for live sound, broadcasting, and installed audio applications where analog and digital audio systems must seamlessly coexist.
