Filax-2: the ultra-fast transfer switch

The Filax was developed with the aim of switching important or sensitive consumers such as computers, industrial control devices, or modern entertainment electronics from one AC source to another. The main power source is typically the power grid, a generator, or a shore connection. An inverter usually serves as the alternative source. With a switching time of less than 20 milliseconds, even sensitive loads continue to operate without interruption. The Filax is not designed to supply household appliances with high power consumption, such as washing machines or electric motors.

Intermittent switching function

The Filax is a transfer switch with an intermittent (non-bridging) switching function. The maximum time for switching loads is 16 ms. The load is normally supplied by the main power source and is switched to the alternative source in the following cases.
