- Improved battery life
- 4K video now with 60 fps
- Faster storage speed
- No viewfinder
- No image stabiliser
- Partly higher image noise
The Sony ZV-E10 II compact system camera is tested with a number of improvements compared to its predecessor, the Sony ZV-E10. It can now film 4K video at 60 fps (frames per second) on request, as well as offering new video looks and a longer battery life. Anyone looking to buy a vlogging cam for the first time will find the Sony ZV-E10 Mark II a solid tool at a reasonable price.

- Flexible time-lapse and slow-motion function
- Extensive video equipment
- Good sound quality for video recordings
- Fast memory card interface
- Good image quality up to ISO 800, acceptable up to ISO 3,200
- Cheap-looking plastic ribbing instead of rubber coating
- High sound quality for videos
- films in 4K60p and up to 118 minutes at a time
- Without viewfinder and flash
The ZV-E10 Il does without flash and viewfinder and is still significantly more expensive than the Alpha 6100A. Why? Because it uses more modern technology. The new 26-megapixel sensor delivers slightly more detailed images, while the more powerful image processor ensures better scene recognition and more video functions. Great: The large battery enables very long video recordings.
Sony has improved the ZV-E10 Il in many ways. Above all, the consistent touchscreen operation was long overdue. For photographers, the mechanical shutter is a disadvantage, as the shortest flash synchronisation time is reduced from 1/160 s to 1/30 s. The price increase is remarkable: while the ZV-E10 - which remains on the market - costs around 680 euros, Sony is asking around 1100 euros for the ZV-E10...

- Very good picture quality
- practical vlog functions
- Compact case
- 3-capsule microphone with windscreen
- No image stabiliser in the housing
- No electronic viewfinder
