The new Sony camera delivers high-quality film recordings and appealing 26-megapixel photos. Its overall equipment is clearly focussed on video recording, and photographers will clearly notice this at some points. They will therefore have to think twice about whether such a camera is really worth buying for this price...

However, the selection is limited and you have to be prepared to go back one or two model generations and look around for cameras, some of which were launched in 2019. Some of these old treasures are still available from specialist and online retailers - and at a fraction of the price that was originally asked for the models...

However, if you are looking for a camera that specialises in video recording, the Sony ZV series is the right choice.
