I was also looking for certain Ubiquiti products, which I couldn't find at any retailer. I then found them through my electrician, who even had the products in stock. I also saw that certain products that are not yet available in Switzerland, for example, can already be ordered from stock in the Ubiquiti EU Store and also delivered to Switzerland. For example, the G3 Instant Wi-Fi camera (the maximum number of units for end customers for this product is also only one). You might want to take a look there? eu.store.ui.com/

How can this camera be accessed autonomously via the web interface? Now I have bought the recommended switch and am asked via the web for a password and user name for the cam. However, I only receive these in the account of a Unifi NVR.

Hello @saschawilde I just had this with the motion detection once, restarted the camera and since then everything is okay again (fingers-crossed). I only had this with the recordings in the following combination: recording only on motion/iPhone app. That was about a year ago, Ubiquiti said they were working on the problem, that it was due to the app. About two or three updates later, I no longer had the problem. But in the meantime I also switched to constant recording. I didn't have the issue with the Web UI. Have you already researched/asked in the Ubiquiti community?

Good morning The Cloud Key 1 does not contain the actual camera server "Unifi Protect" or NVR. The cameras can therefore not be operated with this Cloud Key. Unless you have or buy an external NVR (Network Video Recorder), e.g. UVC-NVR, UVC-NVR-2TB... The great thing about Cloud Key 2 Plus is that it contains all two instances: Unifi Network Management, Unifi Protect. Important: The Cloud Key 2 (without Plus) does not include HD and does not include Unifi Protect. The surcharge for the Cloud Key 2 Plus with NVR function is ridiculous, the added value enormous. Once everything is nicely set up, you can define any motion zones or private zones in the field of view of each camera. You can then define whether you should be notified of an event by push message or email. In my case, this works very reliably.

Either by setting up a VPN connection to your home (best option) Or setting up a NAT rule on the port to your USG on your router. ( only recommended with https and a secure password. ) or in short use the app if you are not familiar with network technology. Otherwise you will unintentionally open security gaps in your network.

There are two options. Either via the UniFi Video software, which has to be installed on a PC or server and then also takes care of the recording, motion detection etc.. This can then also be connected to a Unifi account so that it can be accessed via an app. Another option is to convert the camera so that the video stream can simply be viewed via a link on the browser or processed by a third-party system for recording, distribution, etc. However, this requires good knowledge. However, this requires a good knowledge of network and internet technology, especially if you want to view the stream outside the home via the app. All in all, however, this is a relatively professional surveillance system. It is understandable that not just any salesperson can help you. There would probably be other systems with step-by-step instructions where you don't have to understand any of it. Maybe you can do something with this answer, otherwise you can get in touch again 😉

Whether the camera is compatible with Synology must first be checked. There are only two licences free of charge, which is not exactly generous. I have generally had bad experiences with the performance of Surveillance Station. For Unifi camera, Unifi Surv. is recommended.

The camera also needs power via the LAN cable, i.e. POE. For this, it needs a corresponding adapter (e.g. 9558411) . When it is running, an LED lights up

Ciao TiRohn, To your questions: - Mounting is included with the cam, I installed it on the ceiling of my terrarium without any other accessories. I think it also came with a wall and pole mount. - I can't judge the integration with ReadyNAS, but I think I read that you can install it on various NAS. My computer is always running and I have installed the free controller from Unifi on it and am currently streaming based on movement in the terrarium with 3 cams on it. - With the Unifi Video app you can comfortably access your cams live and also view the recordings from internally as well as externally from your LAN. Perhaps to add, there are weatherproof cams, if your place is not protected from rain, this would be an idea. High humidity and occasional splashes have not damaged mine yet. However, continuous rain could be too much of a good thing at some point. I think the cam is very compact, I was even surprised how small it is compared to the other cameras. On another note, you can also have different colours for this cam, I think white, grey, black and camouflage. Have fun with it!
