Since the product specification speaks of USB 3.0, I assume Gen 1 or Gen 2 (= 3.1 Gen2) Definitely no 3.2, Thunderbolt4, ... As the higher-quality USB cables are all backwards-compatible, you're basically not doing anything wrong, you're just spending too much money.
Yes, the mount and the monitor support the VESA 100 x 100 standard and are compatible. Screws are usually already included with mounts, alternatively we have a screw set here: Techly screw set brackets Vesa (screw)

Grasp the top centre of the unit and carefully change the height. You may hear a noise when adjusting the stand height. This noise is caused by the ball slipping inside the stand when adjusting the stand height. This is a normal noise and not a malfunction of the unit. Refer to page 15 of the user manual for more information. You can access the user manual by entering the model code in the search bar on our manufacturer's page and downloading the user manual under the link "User manual and downloads" in the lower section of the product data sheet. According to our information this is indeed the LC34H890WGRXEN.
Yes it has. However, it is connected via USB-C. The screen also uses this as a display input. If you only want to operate via DisplayPort or HDMI, it's a bit stupid. Picture also via USB-C and everything is fine.

You can select the setting LED ON in standby or in operation. In the device menu, this setting is called "Power. -LED On": "Running" (on during operation) or "Standby" (when the unit is switched off). If the power LED at the bottom of the unit is not to light up at all, i.e. neither in operation nor in standby, the monitor must be completely disconnected from the mains. Depends on the MacBook version. If Thunderbolt 4 is available, you can connect the monitor via USB-C (compatible). For "older" models, connect via HDMI.
