I am currently trying to connect a USB 3 device (1G network card). Unfortunately, the card is only recognised as USB2.0 by the Macbook. The Macbook is connected via USB-C cable (included and also its own). What do I have to do to use the USB HUB as USB 3?

Hello,
Thank you for your enquiry.
The Samsung Business Monitor LC34H890WGRXEN has a USB hub with 2 x 2.0 and 1 x 3.0.
Firstly, please check whether you have connected your USB 3.0 network card to the appropriate USB 3.0. Secondly, please make sure that your USB 3.0 network card also has USB 3.0, because if your MacBook only recognises it as USB 2.0, it could mean that it also only has a USB 2.0 port.

Well, there is no USB Gbit adapter solution for USB 3.0, because USB 2.0 is sufficient for this without any problems. Of course, you can connect this solution to a USB 3.0 port, but this has no advantages. If a device with USB 3.0 is used, there is actually a Thunderbolt port on the Macbook, then the connected devices should also support this speed and this protocol, but LAN adapters are always operated at USB 2.0 speed if they are not 10 Gbit solutions.
