The cable only works from the display port to the HDMI adapter. That is, if your PS4 has a Display Port output on a TV with HDMI. It is mentioned in the description at the end: Note: A DisplayPort HDTV cable can only be used in one direction: the DisplayPort connector can only be used on the data source side (e.g. graphics card). Unfortunately not. You can see it here, HDMI: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki... And here for Display Port: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki... ---- The cable is HDMI 1.2, so it goes Max. 1920x1080 @60Hz. Display port is not specified You need HDMI 1.3 (or higher, 1.3/2.0 should be enough) and Display Port HBR (or higher, HBR/HBR2 should be enough). Hope this helps.

DP to HDMI only works if the source can output HDMI over DP (pretty much every device should be able to do this). Which MB exactly and which Eizo monitor?

Yes, the resolution can easily be up to 3840x2160. However, the graphics card/GPU must support the corresponding resolution (which, however, is almost invariably the case for models with HDMI outputs).

I bought the same cable because the VGA cable was flickering. I use it for 1980X1020. I suspect that the bottleneck is not the cable, especially since it is only 1m long, but rather that the graphics card of the notebook does not deliver the resolution. Especially if you connect two monitors at the same time. However, this should be stated in the specifications of the device.

Basically, the cable was designed to connect and transmit data from a DP to an HDMI port.

I can't answer that because I don't have such a monitor. The only thing I can be sure of is that DP to HDMI is "one way". This means that this cable does not go, for example, HDMI to PC --> DP on the monitor. Then you need an active cable. It is best to ask the manufacturer.
