Can I achieve exactly this resolution with my 2560x1440 monitor with DisplayPort input using this cable? (PC has no DisplayPort input)

Yes, the resolution can easily be up to 3840x2160. However, the graphics card/GPU must support the corresponding resolution (which, however, is almost invariably the case for models with HDMI outputs).
