NZXT Kraken Z73
Contact NZXT directly, they can send you a suitable bracket. As far as I know, even free of charge. A receipt of purchase of the AIO cooling must be shown.
Yep, it fits, but according to NZXT you can order an AM5 kit free of charge with a receipt for the AM5 mainboard and AIO. I've been waiting for it for a week, got feedback yesterday that my ticket is being processed and it will take about 3-4 days. The AM5 kit is supposed to give a stronger contact pressure on the CPU and thus provide a few degrees better cooling. Currently have a 7950X with the cooling and get 40-45° at 105W Eco mode at idle and about 75° on the CPU when gaming. Water temp steady at about 30°. I'll give more feedback as soon as I have more info.
NZXT Aer RGB 2 (120mm, 1x) these are the RBG fans from NZXT and you can use them for any radiator. With such a large radiator, however, I would use at least 3 fans to ensure the best airflow. So 3x 120 mm fans. You just have to make sure that you have a fan hub where you can connect all fans, and you also need 3 RBG headers on the motherboard.
The thermal paste that is already on it is okay. If you ever change the motherboard and remove the cooler from the CPU, I would use new thermal paste.
The water cooling for 200 CHF (X73) is the older version. The Kraken Z73 is the newer version. The advantage to the old version is that you have a display on the cooling block of the Z73. On the display you can show various things, such as CPU temperature. The old version (X73) only has the NZXT Infinity logo on the cooling block, which cannot be changed. It doesn't say 3.6cm on the X73 but 36cm and this is the length of the radiator, which is also 36cm on the Z73. The thickness of the radiator is specified for the Z73, which is also 2.7cm for both. On the X73 it says 5.3cm, because the thickness of the fan has been added, as stated. digitec has made a mistake with the Z73 and the thickness of the fan has not been added. Conclusion: The difference is mainly in the heat sink with the display. The size of the radiator is the same for both, so the temperatures should also be similar. I hope I was able to help you, otherwise you are welcome to ask again.
I have the ASUS ROG Maximus XI Hero as my motherboard and have no space problems with the Kraken. But I have never heard that a box cooler leads to space problems. At worst, you can place the hose connections so that they don't face the ramslot. Then you will certainly have enough space. It doesn't really matter how you mount the pump, because you can rotate the image by 90 degrees with the software, so that the image is displayed correctly and not upside down, for example. I hope I was able to help you a little :D
Hello, if you haven't already done so, you can order a specific kit (if available) directly from NZXT and it's normally free.
Technically you can use AM4 on AM5 because the holes are equally spaced. BUT. there is a small difference in terms of the height of the mounting bracket (AM5 is slightly higher). It still fits but you wouldn't get a perfect fit. If you go to NZXT and open a ticket, they will ship it to your house for free. You need 3 things: the serial number of your current Kraken, the serial number of your new AM5 motherboard, and a proof of purchase of it. Hi!
Hello, I ordered it 1.5 years ago and in the pack there was an AMD plate and an intel one... now to be able to tell you if the intel plate from a year ago is the same for the latest CPUs, you'd better check directly on the NZXT website to be sure. a+
Yes, it's included - cools an i9-13900KF for me (order end of November 2022).
on the NZXT homepage: https://nzxt.com/de-DE/product/kraken-z73 COMPATIBLE CPU & SOCKET Intel:Socket LGA 1700, 1200, 115X AMD:AMD Socket AM5, AM4, sTRX4*, TR4* (*Threadripper mount not included)
I would think that if it wasn't listed in the description, there would be no LGA 1700 bracket included.
I bought mine in January 2021 and came those 2 brackets in the box https://www.google.com/search?q=lga+1700+bracket&tbm=isch&ved=2ahUKEwikyLLNmoz7AhULYRoKHa-xAH4Q2-cCegQIABAC&oq=lga+1700+bracket&gs_lcp=ChJtb2JpbGUtZ3dzLXdpei1pbWcQAzIHCAAQgAQQGDIHCAAQgAQQGDIHCAAQgAQQGDIFCAAQogQ6BAgjECc6BggAEAcQHjoECAAQHjoHCAAQgAQQEzoGCAAQHhATOggIABAFEB4QE1DWEFiBM2DDPWgAcAB4AIABlwGIAc8HkgEDNS40mAEAoAEBwAEB&sclient=mobile-gws-wiz-img&ei=7qhgY6SZDIvCaa_jgvAH&bih=726&biw=384&prmd=isnv#imgrc=PFW_z9GPIqdxsM
No, but you can request one from their support page. I recommend checking this option before you order it. No, but you can request one from their support page. I recommend checking this option before you order it.
I had the same problem with the first item, which was also defective. Luckily I got a working pump as a return. I think you can send the part back again without any problems, it's not as it should be. I wish you good luck that the next pump will be good again :/
Hoi, Du kannst ruhig einen LGA1700 Bracket kostenlos direkt beim NZTX Support beantragen: https://support.nzxt.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?ticket_form_id=1260814075929 LG Michael
Yes you can, the display can be at any 90 degrees. It doesn't change automatically you have to download the app from NZTX and then you can personalise the display.
...no, that is not possible because it is a different software.
What does it look like when the NZXTCam programme is running?
So the kraken comes without rgb fans, which you have to buy. I guess the croshair commander is your fanhub? So if you just connect the fans to the fanhub, it will be controlled by your mainboard. Should be brand independent. We installed my kraken with a push pull system and the rgb fans are from alpenföhn.
Should not be a problem. I also replaced the thermal paste on mine during the last rebuild and it works perfectly.
Ja, passt.
The 360mm is the radiator length. The hose length is according to the manufacturer. Greetings
No, the fans are part of the set.
