GPU water coolers serve basically the same purpose as CPU, RAM or HDD water coolers, except of course they cool the graphics card. This requires a modification of the graphics card or usually requires the removal of fans that are pre-installed on the card in order to attach the cooling element for the water cooling. But this is not too bad, because the card is then sufficiently cooled by the water cooling. There are different shapes and designs, which you can choose depending on the graphics card model and/or the interior look of your PC.
