The Mac version is black, the normal version is grey.
As the Mac version does not come with a Unifying adapter, I would recommend the normal one, then you can use it on the PC and connect it to the Mac via Bluetooth.

Unfortunately, most of them are the same product. The Mac edition does not come with a Unifying dongle.

Based on your question, I assume that you have a Windows computer. If your computer supports Bluetooth, no further hardware (i.e. no receiver) is necessary. If you don't have Bluetooth, you need to check the compatibility of the receiver. Or you can buy a Bluetooth module (e.g. via USB).

Yes, it works well under Mojave. I advise you to take the Mac model.
Mojave does not allow you to have the recent version of the Logi Options+ application, but you can customize the mouse buttons for each application.

So this is a mouse, not a keyboard, but on the mac it works for a keyboard:

On your Mac, select "Apple" > "System Preferences" and click on "Keyboard" in the sidebar. ...
Go to "Text input" on the right and click on "Edit".

Also works with Windows, I need it regularly with Bootcamp. By the way, the "normal" (not for Mac) version of the MX Master 3 also works on Mac. The only difference is the colour and the fact that the others come with an optional USB-A receiver (for when Bluetooth is not integrated).

You can connect up to 6 devices with the unifying adapter and you can establish up to three connections with the mouse and switch with the button on the bottom. E.g. Windows PC, MaC, Tablet. Also works with the MX keyboard, Windows PC, MacBook and iPhone.

The MC version is unfortunately not Unigying compatible, so a connection with an adapter is not possible. It only works via Bluetooth. If no Bluetooth is available, you can buy a USB Bluetooth adapter that is as big as the Unifying adapter from Logitech and then it comes out the same.

No problem at all - works 1A with existing Unified Dongle on Windows 10 computer.
Dongle = dongle, there are no specific keyboard or mouse dongles.
However, the keyboard in particular causes problems via native bluetooth on the Mac (M1) (but my keyboard may also be faulty).
Yes, you can do this in the Logi Options application under Mouse pointer & Scroll -> Scroll direction -> Standard or Natural.

The Mac version doesn't come with the Unifying adaptor, there are some shortcuts that are preconfigured for Macs, those are the only differences, the mouse works with Windows via Bluetooth, a unifying adaptor could be bought separately if needed.

I bought the mouse together with MX Keys for Mac. The USB receiver was included. Both worked with Big Sur ¨der USB without any problems. In the meantime, however, I use both via Bluetooth.
I use the mouse more or less with the standard settings without any problems. I certainly haven't tried all the functions yet.
