A little more information would not be bad. However, your need may be fulfilled. This "part" converts hdcp 1.4 to 2.2 and vice versa. This solves the problem of encryption. This is exactly why I bought this part. However, the next problem came after that, and that is that Sony (despite the latest firmware) occasionally has a little trouble with the handshake to the AV-R. This means that communication between the TV and the AV-R is difficult. This means that communication between the TV and the AV-R is often non-existent. If I were you, I would try it. If the handshake does not cause any problems, this part is certainly a good solution. Important: the power supply unit is not included in the delivery. Therefore, make sure that a free USB port is available. An iPhone charging adapter can also be used. Have fun

We had to change from an old Verte box to the new one from Quickline. We have an Onkyo reciever and a rather old wireless beamer (HD). It could no longer accept the new signal from Quickline with HDCP 2.2. We only had sound and no picture. I connected the converter between the Onkyo and the beamer and it worked again straight away.

Hello I have an Onkyo receiver with the same situation. If the converter is connected between the receiver and the TV set, the problem is solved. Note that the converter needs some additional power from a USB port. Greetings Olli

No, it does not. I use the converter between the TV and a Denon receiver with HDCP 2.2 capability. The Sunrise Box is the only source that delivers HDCP 2.2. Bluray player, PS4 etc. do not. Works perfectly with all sources, but must be supplied with power via the USB connection.
