Hello, I haven't personally tested this configuration but according to the documentation, https://download.lenovo.com/pccbbs/options_iso/tp_usbc_dock_sp40l36280_ug_en.pdf, at the bottom of page 1, it doesn't seem possible. Indeed 4k is not listed as using 60Hz. I don't know if this helps... Have a nice day The list of all manuals is here: https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/accessories/acc100348
The best thing to do is to go to the Lenovo website. There you can easily filter out whether a docking station is suitable for you.
For example, you could use one of these: https://www.digitec.ch/de/Comparison/4685746-6086103-6531722 . :)
Thanks for the info! Instead of posting your answer as a new question, you can answer it here: https://www.digitec.ch/de/s1/QuestionAndAnswer/funktioniert-dieses-dock-mit-dem-lenovo-yoga-c930-155632
We have tried this several times. Once it worked (allegedly), but the next time it didn't .... - the desktop was only displayed briefly and then it was black again ... we tried it with a 4K monitor. However, Lenovos run perfectly.
Ask Lenovo or Google. I can only answer "fits perfectly" for an E485.
According to the manufacturer, this is possible.
The docking station has its own power supply unit in the scope of delivery. If the laptop can be charged via USB-C, this works without any problems. I use this with the Yoga 910 and it works without any problems.
No, this docking station can also be used with a normal USB-C cable.
Unfortunately, the desired notebook model is not listed on the manufacturer's page.
No. You don't have a USB-C port.
This docking station is intended for Lenovo Thinkpads. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee compatibility with Macbook Pro.
