You can already register for a SIM card on connect.digitec.ch and indicate that you want to port your number to digitec connect at the end of the contract. According to Digitec, the data is effectively unlimited and is not throttled or anything like that.

The purchased product is only the subscription (or the code for activation). You will receive a SIM card after registering on connect.digitec.ch, where you can then also select that you would like to port your old number. Yes, simply open an account on connect.digitec.ch and select "Take over phone number" during the registration process. You can then redeem the voucher in the cockpit.
