However, the splitter does not solve your problem. Your monitor with DVI in probably also has a VGA in. Just use this one. Otherwise, you still have two options. 1. the monitor has a DVI-I input. Then you can use a VGA to DVI-I cable. If not, you have to buy an active adapter. This converts the analogue signal into a digital one. Hope this helps you for now. =)

No, this is a monitor splitter, it displays the same image on two monitors, which in my opinion is not so useful for home offices.
A docking station would have to be purchased, where screens can then be connected, together with the notebook screen even 3 are possible. Maximum, but I would then better use one large screen instead of two smaller ones. A 4K UHD screen with a resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels is available from Digitec for around 300 francs and they are really very good and also have a very sharp picture, e.g. something like this:

With the docking station it depends on what the notebook has for outputs, if it has a USB-C port, where video can also be output, then it would be important to buy a docking station that can control the external screen up to 4 or 5K also with 60 Hz, because 30Hz that is usually already possible but that jerks when scrolling text and that is not so the hit.

The splitter does not need an external power supply - if that is what is meant.
In my experience with the splitter, this does not work. The splitter is suitable for running two screens via one USB connection.

This should work without any problems, as the splitter will display the same picture on both monitors. Therefore, one monitor/beamer can simply be switched off as needed.

I don't think this fulfils your sweck, because this splits the signal, so it doubles it. and unless you always want to switch off the unused device, you have the same picture twice.

Personally i would prefer the MiniDP to HDMI, because you can find cables that do that and like that only have 2 Video cables instead of 2 cables and a splitter.
This should work because the HDMI output mirrors the images on 2 monitors. Thus, the images on the Full HD TV should be visible on the projector simultaneously and identically.

I had to return this monitor splitter to the Digitec branch in the end. I only had one monitor out of a total of two supplied with picture and sound. I finally decided to connect a monitor splitter from Delock via the display port connection on the laptop and the variant now works perfectly. I cannot explain the problem in detail, nor could the Digitec employee. We suspect incompatibility with Windows, although the description says that the splitter should also work with Windows 10.

Unfortunately not, and if you use this type of adapter you will have the same image twice on each screen. If you want to have an extended display you need a docking station connected to a computer.

When transmitting via HDMI, a handshake is made at the beginning of the connection. All the requirements of the end device are made known, including the resolution. However, your soundbar has no resolution, so the splitter does not recognise it as a device and does not transmit a signal. There are devices that only output audio via HDMI, but the splitter certainly does not do this. You probably need another device like an HDMI audio extractor or an HDMI EDID manager. Your configuration won't work with a picture-capable and a non-image-capable device on the same splitter. But with an audio extractor and optical cable to the soundbar it will work.

I returned it because when I plugged it into my laptop, I had 2 x the same content. I was looking for a solution that would allow me to work on 2 screens. I found "my happiness" with Delock USB Typ-C zu (HDMI). Attention, connected to my laptop with USB-C.

Yes. According to my sensitive hearing, 1:1 without loss. But you have to connect the HDMI splitter to a USB.
With an HDMI splitter, the same picture can be displayed on both devices.
If you have USB-C, you could use an adapter that supports MST.
