Question about Delock Monitor splitter HDMI

Can you also split audio with it? I would like to display the picture from a BluRay player on a 4K TV and play the sound directly via a surround receiver. Is that possible with this splitter? Thanks for the help.

In my experience with the splitter, this does not work. The splitter is suitable for running two screens via one USB connection.
