Dell U2715h
2560 x 1440 pixels, 27"
Rev A03, purchased March 2017
Windows 7 can support 2560 x 1440 resolution. It is more important to note whether the computer has the necessary outputs. The resolution 2560 x 1440 is not necessarily available via HDMI. It should work with DisplayPort.
The monitor makes no noise. I don't know how it was before, but monitors never have built-in fans.
According to the customer service, it has the following dimensions: Width: 24.75 cm Depth: 20.5cm
Of course. You simply need an adapter to DisplayPort. For example, I can recommend this to you. Someone I know also has it and is satisfied: StarTech USB Type-C to DisplayPort Cable (1.80m, Midrange, Black)
Did you connect the USB cable from the screen to the notebook? Maybe it's a stupid question, but you never know.
No, it has no speakers. Only an audio output. This is used to connect the Dell sound bar or, if necessary, your own speakers to the monitor. (But it only works if the screen is connected via Displayport or HDMI).
I don't have a MacBook Pro 2017 to test it on, but the U2715H supports native resolution over HDMI (I run 2 of them, one with DP and one with HDMI). I guess the U2713HM couldn't do that on the hardware side: https://www.dell.com/community/Monitors/Cannot-display-2560x1440-on-U2713HM-by-hdmi/td-p/4136515
It has: 5 x USB 3.0 downstream, 1 x USB 3.0 upstream
Yes, it's going to work without any problems. We bought several of them at our office and people have been pretty happy with it (myself included)
Yes, it has IPS screen technology which is good for photo editing. Test: http://www.prad.de/new/monitore/test/2015/test-dell-u2715h.html
A great all-round monitor when you're not gaming. Good price/performance ratio, good for image editing if you calibrate the monitor (sRGB 98%, no AdobeRGB). Enclosed is a detailed report (11 pages): http://www.prad.de/new/monitore/test/2015/test-dell-u2715h.html
Hello Christian You can certainly play games with this monitor, but it doesn't seem to be designed for gaming. Signs of this are only 60Hz refresh rate and 8ms response time. On the other hand, this monitor has an IPS panel which provides good viewing angle stability and good colour reproduction. If you mainly want to play shooters or fast or competitive games in general, I would recommend a gaming monitor with >100Hz and FreeSync (if you have an AMD graphics card) or GSync (if you have an NVIDIA graphics card). Greetings Chris
1 Mini-DisplayPort cable (Mini-DP to DP) is included in the scope of delivery http://www1.euro.dell.com/ch/de/heimburo/Peripherals/dell-u2715h/pd.aspx?refid=dell-u2715h&cs=chdhs1&s=dhs
The monitor has no built-in speakers but a 3.5 mm audio output. It also has 2 HDMI connections.
I also have an onboard 4600, which is sufficient for Lightroom and Photoshop. When connecting the monitor via DVI, the maximum resolution is 1920 x 1080. 2550 x1440 requires Displayport or HDMI.
The following is included in the scope of delivery: Monitor with stand Cable cover Power cable DP cable (Mini-DP to DP) USB 3.0 upstream cable (to enable the USB port on the monitor) Drivers and documentation media Factory calibration report Quick Reference Guide Safety instructions See also review at Prad: http://www.prad.de/new/monitore/test/2015/test-dell-u2715h.html
If this is not covered by the normal warranty in the product description (which I don't think it is), then you would probably have to contact the manufacturer directly, as the Premium Panel warranty is offered by Dell and not Digitec.
