I have been using the device almost daily in the gym for a year. About 2 hours per day. I don't know the problem described. Everything is ok with me. The only thing is that the battery is only charged to about 80%. That's enough for about 3.5 hours. I would send your part in, because it is not exactly cheap.

No, you can't! Bose has a very clear opinion on this: https://www.bose.ch/de_ch/support/article/setting-up-your-headphones.html It says: However, they must not be immersed in water. DO NOT go swimming or showering with the headphones. DO NOT use the headphones under water.

Yes, of course. But it's also possible that nothing works at all. Usually, the circuit board with the Bluetooth module is in one earpiece and the battery and charging technology in the other. So the power has to go from one earpiece to the other and so does the audio signal. As a rule, however, the cables are very stable, so it takes a lot to produce a wobble.

The headphones are not waterproof, only splashproof. The PDF safety notice states the following: "Do not immerse the headphones in water or expose them to water for long periods of time and do not wear them during water sports, e.g. swimming, water skiing, surfing, etc."

Yes, I know that. Until now, I have used the rubber plugs that were already attached. They hold so-so, i.e. they basically hold, but fall out from time to time. Now I have to find out whether they fall out because they are too big or too small. I think you can't avoid running around with both alternatives for a day. I haven't tested it out for myself yet...

So the Bose Soundsport can connect to two devices at the same time (at least for me with iPhone and MacBook). But you can't play from both sources at the same time, you have to pause one and then start the other. But otherwise nothing stands in the way of your plan ;-) Have fun with it! =)

Yes, no problem 👍🏿 Just go to the watch menu under settings / bluetooth connect (headphones in pair mode). But beware: I had problems taking calls when the headphones were connected to the phone AND the watch at the same time. When connected to only one of the two devices, everything worked as desired.
