Unfortunately, we do not know exactly when we will receive the graphics card. We expect a first delivery of some models at the beginning of July. However, delivery dates are always without guarantee. If a supplier communicates an expected date to us, this will be entered accordingly in our system and displayed in the online shop. We apologise for the inconvenience and the waiting time.
My order says around mid-July
STRIX-GTX1080-8G-GAMING = Non OC STRIX-GTX1080-A8G-GAMING = Advanced STRIX-GTX1080-O8G-GAMING = OC
No The price is valid when ordering or picking up ^^ and 50Fr. Difference, sorry pity is sold out ;-)) The above mentioned price is not cheeky... Point1 the Asus GTX 1080 Strix is the highest clocked version on the market! Quality has its price ^^ comes up to nearly 2GHZ clock and above ^^ wow my 2x SLI 980TI Strix is equivalent to 1ner 1080 Strix, well a little more 2x1388Mhz 2880 Shader Units is a little better than 1x1933Mhz 2560 Shader Units ^^
I called Digitec. I was credited with the 100 francs.
However, NVIDIA itself has so far stated that the non-Founders edition cards are cheaper than the Founders cards.
It all depends... if you prefer the 5s and s weggli in your life instead of just the weggli... then it will be worth the wait... I've been waiting for it since June.... but it's getting really nerdy yes
https://www.digitec.ch/de/Comparison/5776840-5776812 I haven't found the third one you mentioned here, but it should be the same. Different clock frequencies, power consumption and the dimensions of the graphics card are probably the only differences. With the necessary knowledge, you can of course overclock the card yourself. Here you just have the guarantee that it runs like this and is stable and the cooling is dimensioned accordingly.
Naturally. Every modern mainboard has a PCI-E 3.0 slot for the graphics card.
I don't know how to respond..............
This card has more power connections and a better cooler (if this fits in your case). It also has a boost clock of 1936Mhz by default, the "normal" one only has 1733Mhz. And of course RGB LEDS ;D Hope this answered your question, in my eyes this is completely ok for a surcharge of 50Fr.
Sounds like a cooling problem to me. The graka gets hot and starts to blow... Is the card getting enough air? How warm does the card get? Does this happen with all games? More info is helpful here
Yes, it should work. The "better" one will then adapt its clock speed to that of the "worse" one. I hope the prices of the 1080 will drop a bit more, then I might get a second one!

You would probably get all the power of the card, but I'm not 100% sure if it would even fit into this rather compact case. And whether it makes much sense to build such a powerful card into a compact mid-range computer, I don't really know.
Digitec does not assemble the card itself - the card is constantly sold out worldwide, whether in Europe or North America, etc. The reason is probably some components of the graphics chips supplied by Nvidia. This is probably due to some components of the graphics chips supplied by Nvidia that cannot withstand the OC of this Asus card. Search for the Asus 1080 A8g. Same card with slightly less performance. Asus probably sells the "not 100%" O8g as A8g. If you don't have a GPU water cooler, you probably won't notice the difference as the card is only in OC mode up to 70°. Perhaps for many it is more worthwhile to buy an A8g, as this has been adapted by Asus with the purpose of reaching the highest degree less quickly. In-game you will notice only minimal differences. Source: a few hours of research ^^ so it could be that I'm telling you complete rubbish ;) But if you want a 1080 Strix with OC from Asus in the next days, then search for A8g ;)

Yes, that would be nice. Unfortunately, the managers in charge tick a little differently than they did 20 years ago. Today, everyone shifts the responsibility onto the others. Digitec got the information from someone in a fortnight as an example. This "someone" also got the information from someone else in a fortnight... And the first one who came with two weeks had no idea. He/she probably meant: now I want to rest for a fortnight and then come back for the next two weeks (in a fortnight). And so the 2 weeks are pushed back and forth for weeks, months until the doctor has to come... In this sense: someone told me that the graphics cards will be here in a fortnight 😂...
Please contact customer service regarding a question about your own orders. The community can only answer you about this to a limited extent. However, you should receive the card at the lower price. This is common practice when you pre-order a product. digitec@digitec.ch +41 44 575 95 00
To keep it short and simple: Yes. The card works without any problems.
