Question about ASUS GeForce GTX 1080 STRIX O8G GAMING

The price is far too high. ASUS itself offers the card for $640, which is a whole $60 cheaper than the Founders Edition.

Why do we have to pay more?

AMD has just unveiled the new cards. I think the price will not last long. 😉

This product is offered at similar prices according to initial international comparisons.

England: 610 Pounds (GBP); Denmark: 5990 Danish Cones (DKK)

Whether all custom GTX 1080s will be offered at similar prices by the different manufacturers remains to be seen.

I have to admit that after all the presentations and information, the price of 900 Fr. shocks me a bit, but it seems that the card is already overclocked and the price is so high only because of the demand.

the demand is just so high at the moment, and the supply is very limited. wait until the cards are in abundance then they are no longer 900.- but only 600.- but as long as people are willing to pay so much for them they will not become cheaper. on ebay they are now available for 1100.

This is already the overclocked version O8G-Gaming. The normal 8G-Gaming version should be available at a much lower price.

as much as i celebrate and praise digitec, the price is way over the top and unrealistic.
i understand that they set such a price at release but it's already early december.
every other shop offers them for far less.

you guys probably still don't realise that the card will easily come down to 799.- in autumn ;) if you want it "NOW" you just pay more... that's just the way the market is. but i don't import the stuff, suddenly something is defective (can also be something small) and then i wish you lots of fun with the 100.- saving
