Actually, this card is powered by an 8pin and a 6pin connector. This gives the possibility for a better overclocking of the card.

So theoretically, the card as it will arrive has greater potential than a Founders Edition. The PCB is designed for 300W instead of 160W (or 190W) which would be the standard. So now voltage is only one factor in the equation. The current that can be drawn by the card plays just as big a role, and since performance is dependent on voltage and current, it's safe to say that you can get a lot more performance out of it compared to other cards.
