Hello..I have an i Mac 27 inch (Late 2013) and would like to use it as a display for my new Macbook Pro 14" M1. Which connection cable do I need for this? thank you in advance.

Hi, I have been using this setup with this cable to run a similar iMac as a second display for an iMac Pro. Unfortunately, this no longer works after upgrading to Monterey due to changes Apple made to the operating system. I think your M1 is running Monterey, so I doubt this will work with any cable.

Basically yes (same connection as MINI DisplayPort), but there is one combination where the cable does not work. Laptop (Thunderbolt) <-> Monitor (Thunderbolt) is ok Laptop (Mini DP) <-> Monitor (Mini DP) is ok Laptop (Mini DP) <-> Monitor (Thunderbolt) is ok Laptop (Thunderbolt) <-> Monitor (Mini DP) does NOT work
