Product details

Z50II DX 16-50 VR + 50-250 VR. This camera allows you to express your creativity. It offers a compelling combination of powerful images and ease of use, making it ideal for photos, videos, vlogs, and live streaming.

The user-friendly Picture Control configuration enables you to design photos and videos in real-time, even while recording. Exclusive imaging recipes can be downloaded for free directly to the camera from the Nikon Imaging Cloud.

Every detail becomes visible, even in bright sunlight, dark environments, or changing lighting conditions.

Clear visibility from any angle. The forward-facing orientation makes vlogging easier. You can position the focus, change settings, and much more with a simple touch.

4K UHD/30p recordings (oversampling from 5.6K) and capturing fast action with 4K/60p video in crop mode are possible.

In product review mode, the focus gently shifts from the face to the presented items. A USB-C cable is all you need to connect the Z50II directly to your smart device and go live on your chosen video platform.

Precise subject recognition of 9 different subjects and continuous shooting speeds of up to 30 frames per second with full AF/AE, combined with Pre-Release Capture.

Flawless photos and videos at high ISO sensitivity. Additionally, the Z50II features a convenient iTTL pop-up flash for perfect subject illumination.

The Z50II is equipped with two 3.5 mm jacks for an external stereo microphone and a headphone to monitor the recording.

Weighing only about 495 g (body), it has a comfortable grip for a secure hold.

The X-E5 achieves very good results in all areas. The comparison with the X-T50 is primarily decided by design preferences - although the older camera costs 300 euros less, has a flash on board, but is not suitable for selfies. The Z50 Il has the brightest viewfinder and the best high-ISO smoke behaviour. If you can do without the viewfinder, the X-M5 is also a very good choice.

  • NegativeSlightly more expensive than the competition

The Z50 Il is really good in all test disciplines and therefore wins the test. It is beautifully compact, lightweight and sits comfortably in the hand thanks to the pronounced grip. The fast image processor (Expeed 7) is a particular advantage when it comes to autofocus. It recognises the subject very accurately and at very high speed...

  • PositivePicture quality
  • NegativeOnly 20 megapixels

The Nikon Z50II scored points in the test with numerous improvements. In addition to the consistently good image quality up to ISO 6,400, it clearly stands out from its predecessor with Nikon Z9-level autofocus object detection, faster and more enduring image series and the extended video functions for vloggers, but we would still have liked to see an increase to 24 megapixels...
