Note: Cables with IEC C13 sockets, like this one, are sometimes referred to as 'kettle connections.' Although this term is commonly used, it is technically incorrect, as a kettle requires special IEC C15/16 plugs designed for 120 degrees. Even though they look similar, a 'real' kettle connection has a plug with a notch on the top. Standard IEC C13 cables cannot be plugged into kettles.
