Question about Canon EOS 80D Body - Import
Is the Sony A6300 or Sony A7300s better than the Canon 80D?
No one can answer that question for you.
The Canon is an SLR camera, the Sony a mirrorless system camera. Neither is "better" than the other, they are two different systems. There are hundreds of forums where fanboys from both sides argue and counter-argue. Comparable to Android vs iOS, Canon vs Nikon, Windows vs Apple, Tablet vs Laptop, Migros vs Coop, etc. For one it's right, for the other it's not. But none of the products is "right" or "wrong".
But to get you further, here's my opinion:
They are both "entry-level" cameras with interchangeable lenses. Because you have to buy more lenses, you will have to choose a brand. It will be very expensive to change brands later and cheaper to buy a new/better body to go with your lenses.
DSLR advantage: choice of lenses and accessories, longer battery life
As of today, Canon and Nikon have a wider choice of lenses, accessories, etc.
From fisheye to macro to 800mm teles, everything is there.
Mirrorless system cameras from Sony and Fuji have a limited choice (but that will change).
With a DSLR you can easily shoot hundreds of photos on one battery.
The LCD screen on mirrorless cameras eats up a lot of battery power. So you have to buy several batteries, otherwise it's no big deal.
Advantages of mirrorless: weight and size.
They are smaller and lighter. They don't fit in your pocket, but if you spend a whole day hiking or travelling in the city, you'll feel the difference in the evening.
The choice is yours :) There is no such thing as "the perfect camera".
I personally have Fuji and Canon DSLRs. I am satisfied with all cameras, know their strengths but also their weaknesses. If I'm only travelling fast (cities, friends) I take a Fuji with max 2 lenses. (no telephoto)
But when I'm out photographing (nature, animals, sports) I take a DSLR (in a backpack with various accessories + weight!).
