How is the a6000 different from the a5100 and a5000? I'm looking for a camera to take mainly landscape photos and starry sky photos (with Samyang 12mm f/2.0 lens).

Helpful answer

The a5000 is the oldest camera and has a worse sensor. The a5100 has no viewfinder.

You might be interested in the latest model in the series, the a6500, which has a built-in 5-axis stabiliser.

I also bought the Alpha 6000. Since I mainly shoot landscapes, I can highly recommend this camera. The tip with the Alpha 6500 is correct, as it has a 5-axis stabiliser, but for landscape shots the stabiliser should be switched off anyway. Therefore, you can rather invest the money saved in good lenses.
